Week 60

Holy miracles people.

The biggest and best one for me was actually soooo sad, but amazing.

There are these two sisters (one is a recent convert, and one is less active) that we go and visit all the time.  We love them SO much. They have 5 rambunctious kids all together and it’s always a fun time. While we were at our Ward trunk-or-treat party, we got a text from our recent convert that said that her sisters 2 year old son had fallen out of their two story apartment window onto concrete.. we were pretty terrified! We told our bishop, and their visiting teachers and home teachers, and her home teachers grabbed us and one of their wives and we went to the hospital so they could give little Zayden a blessing, as well as his momma.

He survived with only a swollen eye, a concussion, and a small fracture on his skull that will heal soon. It is seriously amazing. I still can’t believe it, it was as if someone were waiting at the bottom of the complex as he fell to catch him and place him on the ground… Heavenly Father loves all of His children, especially the babies, SO very much He is watching out for us. The two sisters said that they won’t miss another week of church after this, so although it was such a tragedy, it opened their eyes to the things that matter most.

We found 3 new investigators which was awesome. Miracles happen on exchanges. We had exchanges with the Vienna sisters, I was with Sister Snow and it was fun, she served in McLean right before I did so we were able to talk about the peeps we worked with there and the changes that happened in the area. She’s great.

We had 2 investigators at church, one man who we found just a couple days earlier who has a Hindu background, but has a strong desire to learn more of Jesus Christ. It was good. And then Denis came as well, he loves it. He is getting baptized on Saturday… we are SO excited!! He is amazing.

The trunk or treat was a blast. SO many unfamiliar faces, everyone comes when there’s a party and free candy! We even had a trunk for people to treat at- sponsored by Mama Labrum. (Thanks Mindi 😊)

I love being a missionary and seeing Gods hand in everyone’s lives. Today I was reading in Mormon chapter 9 and it talks about how our Heavenly Father has always been a God of miracles

“19 And if there were miracles wrought then, why has God ceased to be a God of miracles and yet be an unchangeable Being? And behold, I say unto you he changeth not; if so he would cease to be God; and he ceaseth not to be God, and is a God of miracles.”

The miracles of the restoration are verywhere, families can be sealed, we have another

pure witness of Jesus Christ, we have His power and authority on the earth once more, through a living prophet who can give us clear direction pertaining to the things that we are facing today. I love our Fathers plan. I love His Son and am so grateful to spend this time dedicated to His work.

Thanks for all you do! Love you! ❤
