I am serving as a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in the Washington DC South mission, and I absolutely love it! I stand as a representative of Jesus Christ and help Him bring everyone the knowledge of the restored gospel; I do this because the Gospel brings me so much joy-through the good, the bad and the ugly.
My parents were divorced the year I moved away for college, but I am so thankful for both of their examples and the roles that they play in my life. I am especially grateful for blessing me and my 6 siblings with the foundation of the gospel, it is what carries me from day to day. My family means the world to me.Throughout my life I have had so many experiences which have strengthened my love and trust in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. During the good times and the bad times I’ve had my relationship with my savior to lean on to get me through it.
One of my favorite things in the world to do is sing. If I could sing to the world I would in a heartbeat! I love the outdoors! I love hiking (Angels Landing is one of my favorite hikes (I hiked it 4 times in one year..)), I love rock climbing, camping, fishing, you name it!
I love athletics, throughout my life (so far) I have put a lot of time and dedication into sports! Basketball is my favorite, but I love volleyball, softball and running too!
Even though hobbies are fun, someday we wont be able to do everything that we want to do and we may lose a passion for some of them. But the most comforting resource that I have is the knowledge that I know that my redeemer lives. I know that when there is no where else to turn to in this world that He is there for me. He is my brother, my best friend and my savior. I know that it is only through his infinite atonement that we can be saved to reign with our father in heaven, and with our families for eternity.
These are my “journal entries” for myself, and my family after my mission 🙂
